Winter Story Time at the Old Forge Library

Winter Story Time

Introducing children to the library at a young age gives them a strong and positive start. Early experiences with books, stories, and shared activities help build a love of reading while also encouraging patience, curiosity, kindness, and respect for others.

Five Winter Story Time Sessions:
  • Fridays from January 16 - February 13
  • From 10:15–11:00 am
  • At the Old Forge Library, located at 220 Crosby Boulevard.
  • Story Time is designed for children ages 3–6.
  • Registration is requested for planning purposes.

Led by Old Forge Library staff, Beverly Meeker and Sarah Bolton.

 Each session features:

  • Stories
  • Creative Play
    • including games, crafts, songs, and other gentle activities that encourage imagination and creative thinking.

Story Time lets little ones enjoy learning in a welcoming community setting, laying the foundation for lifelong learning and good habits. This program is a long-standing tradition at the Old Forge Library, enjoyed by generations of local families. Many parents who attended Story Time as children now return with their kids, continuing a meaningful connection to the library.

Parents may bring toddler-aged children as well; an adult must remain with the child throughout the program.
