Music in the Gazebo Concert Series: Ann Carey

Music in The Gazebo

The Old Forge Library’s 2025 Music in the Gazebo Series concludes on Tuesday, August 26, at 4 pm with a special solo performance by vocalist Ann Carey!

A familiar face in the Central New York music scene since the late 1970s, Ann has performed with bands like Steppin’ Out, Blue Steel, Ted Radley and Co., and Puttin’ on the Ritz. Most recently part of the duo Nook n’ Crannie, Ann now takes the stage solo, offering a stripped-down and soulful set featuring her baritone ukulele.

Expect an eclectic mix of singer-songwriter classics by Townes Van Zandt, Joni Mitchell, Bonnie Raitt, and Nora Jones with a few surprises along the way! Bring a blanket or folding chair and enjoy a relaxing afternoon on the spacious library lawn. In case of rain, the concert will move under the large tent so the music can go on, rain or shine.

As an added bonus, weather permitting, the Friends of the Old Forge Library will host used book tables featuring books, DVDs, puzzles, and more. Donations for items are accepted with gratitude and support the library.

This year’s Music in the Gazebo series is generously sponsored by Pat Johnson, in loving memory of Karen Lee, a cherished member of the local community and the Old Forge Library family. All library programs are free and open to all.
