Music in The Gazebo
The Old Forge Library’s 2025 Music in the Gazebo Series continues on Tuesday, August 19 at 4 pm with a performance by Tom O'Carroll!
The Dublin-born folklorist, folk-singer, and multi-instrumentalist, brings a rich tapestry of Irish culture to life through song, humor, history, and engaging storytelling. Whether performing a haunting air on the tin whistle or energizing the crowd with rousing traditional songs on the guitar or bodhrán (Irish drum), Tom’s lively and heartfelt program appeals to audiences of all ages.
Tom has delighted crowds across the U.S., Canada, and Ireland, and even spent a month performing in Seoul, South Korea. More importantly, he is a local favorite of Old Forge and Inlet summer audiences, and has played a concert in each town for so many summers that Tom has become an August tradition for many residents and visitors.

The spacious lawn surrounding the gazebo offers ample room for guests to relax and enjoy this free, family-friendly event. Attendees are encouraged to bring blankets or folding chairs. If the weather doesn’t cooperate, seating will be available under a large tent set up on the lawn.
Each Tuesday concert also features used book tables hosted by the Friends of the Old Forge Library, weather permitting. Visitors can browse books, DVDs, puzzles, and more, with donations gladly accepted.
Since its beginning in 2014, Music in the Gazebo has grown from a monthly event into a weekly summer tradition. Upcoming performances include Cosby Gibson & Tom Staudle on July 15, Cincinnati Creek on July 22, Rustic Riders on July 29, Penny Bianco on August 5, Mad Agnes on August 12, and Tom O’Carroll on August 19.
The 2025 series is made possible through the generous sponsorship of Pat Johnson, in memory of Karen Lee, a beloved member of both the community and the Old Forge Library family.
