Old Forge Library's Music in the Gazebo to feature Penny Bianco

Old Forge Library's Music in the Gazebo Series continues each Tuesday afternoon with a live performance by Penny Bianco on Tuesday, August 5 at 4 pm.

Penny brings warmth, heart, and a rich musical background to every performance. With her acoustic guitar and expressive voice, she reimagines a wide variety of beloved cover songs from timeless standards to classic pop and country favorites. Whether she's playing something old or new, Penny makes every tune her own, delivering music you know and love with a fresh twist.

A seasoned soloist and former lead singer in dance bands, Penny has years of performance experience. Now retired from a fulfilling career as a Speech Therapist in the Rochester area, she’s returning to her musical roots and sharing her talents with the community she calls home from May through October.

The library lawn provides the perfect setting for this relaxed and enjoyable summer afternoon event. The area surrounding the gazebo is spacious, offering plenty of room for attendees to settle in and enjoy the free, family-friendly performance. Guests are encouraged to bring blankets or folding chairs for comfort.

In addition to the concert, the Friends of the Old Forge Library will be hosting used book tables, weather permitting. Visitors can browse a selection of books, DVDs, puzzles, and more, with donations gladly accepted to support the library.

Upcoming performances include Mad Agnes on August 12, Tom O’Carroll on August 19 and Ann Carey on August 26.

The 2025 Music in the Gazebo Series is made possible in part through the generous sponsorship of Pat Johnson, in memory of Karen Lee, a beloved member of both the local community and the Old Forge Library family.
