Triangle Lantern Making

Carol Marie Vossler, an artist and papermaker, will lead you through making a triangle lantern out of handmade paper and stencils.

You’ll be cutting and folding as part of the process. Using stencils, you can cut shapes with either an Xacto knife or a pin tool, each offering unique effects, before assembling your lantern. The session also offers a brief look at the historical and contemporary importance of lanterns.

Sunday, July 12 from 10 am - 12:30 pm

All materials (except light) and tools will be provided.

  • →Participants are welcome to bring drinks and snacks for the day.
  • →Museum admission is not included but can be added to the workshop fee at a reduced rate.
  • →Comfortable shoes are recommended.

Workshop is for participants 12 years old and older. Participants 17 and younger must be accompanied by an adult. Save by registering for two!
