Celebrating the Birth of Great Camps Architecture in Raquette Lake, NY
This is a weekend of activities celebrating William West Durant, the inventor of the Great Camps Style of Architecture, which was started right here in Raquette Lake.

Friday – July 31
Historic Long Point Visit 8:30-1:45 pm (Boat access only)
Board the WW Durant for a water taxi ride to St. Williams. Captain will give you South Bay, Pine Knot, Echo Camp and St. Williams portions of the commentary before docking at St. Williams. It’s an exciting historical journey at prominent historic locations!

Saturday, August 1st
Durant Days – Tour Great Camp Sagamore 10 am or 130 pm
½ price tickets for a guided tour of Great Camp Sagamore, the Alfred Vanderbilt wilderness estate for over 50 years. Reservations not required.

Live Music Raquette Lake Village Green or School 2 pm

Boat Parade 6 pm
Anything goes! We are looking for Party Barges, Runabouts, No-Octane…if it floats and it’s a boat, decorate it. Get out on the water and show the classic spirit and tradition of Raquette Lake living. Cash Prizes.
