FREE CPR First Aid Class and Certification at the Old Forge Library

CPR First Aid Class and Certification

Certified instructor, Nia Tormey, will instruct a free CPR, First Aid, and Certification Class at the Old Forge Library.

  • Saturday, February 7 from 10 am - 2 pm.
  • The class size is limited to 8 participants, so pre-registration is required.

CPR, AED & and Basic Life Saving skills, opioid education, and a brief Narcan training, will be included.

CPR classes teach life-saving skills that can increase survival rates during emergencies like cardiac arrest. They boost confidence in handling critical situations and may be required for certain jobs. In a rural and geographically remote community like Old Forge, emergency response times can be longer, making bystander action especially critical. When more residents are trained in CPR and lifesaving skills, the chances of helping a neighbor, friend, or family member during a medical emergency increase significantly.

Library programs are free and open to all though registration is REQUIRED!

If the class is full, the library staff will put you on a waiting list for a future class. CPR and first aid classes are made possible by a generous grant from The Max and Victoria Dreyfus Foundation.

Another CPR, First Aid and Certification Class with Nia is scheduled for Saturday, April 25, from 10 am - 2 pm.
