Noon Years Eve at the Old Forge Fire Department

The Old Forge Library is ringing in 2026 in a bright and glowing way!

Families and community members are invited to enjoy a series of drop-in Glow Crafts leading up to a fun-filled “Noon” Year’s Eve Party. These craft sessions offer families a fun activity during the school break, when many people have time off, and provide an opportunity for seniors, individuals, and neighbors of all ages to create something festive together.

Glow Crafts Dates:

  • Friday, December 26: Glow Slime
  • Saturday, December 27: Glow Beading
  • Monday, December 29: Glow Slap Wraps
  • Tuesday, December 30: Glow Bandanas

These drop-in craft sessions are fun for all ages, and all materials are provided free of charge.

“Noon” Year’s Eve Glow Party

  • Wednesday, December 31, from 11 am to 1 pm

Celebrating at noon allows people of all ages to attend and enjoy the festivities. More than 300 people participated in last year’s event.

The party features:

  • A festive ball drop, balloon drop
  • Sparkling soda toast at noon
  • Glow party activities and dancing taking place in the fire hall’s truck bay
  • Additional highlights include snacks, black lights, glow sticks
  • Music by the library’s favorite DJ, Jerry Dee!

 

As always, all library events are free and open to the public. Community members are invited to celebrate the New Year early and let it glow.
