Earth Day at the Old Forge Library

Earth Day at the Old Forge Library

The Old Forge Library will host a special Earth Day Papermaking & Seed Starting program.

Wednesday, April 22 at 5 pm

Presented in collaboration with Cornell Cooperative Extension, the free community workshop will give participants the chance to create handmade paper and start seeds for the growing season while celebrating Earth Day with friends and neighbors. The event is designed to be welcoming, family-friendly, and accessible to all skill levels.

The program is supported by the Adirondack Community Foundation through its Generous Acts grant program. This funding is helping make possible a series of community-centered "people-y" projects that commemorate the 250th anniversary of the signing of the United States Declaration of Independence while also celebrating local traditions, shared experiences, and opportunities to bring people together.

All supplies will be provided free of charge, though quantities are limited. Advance registration is encouraged.

To reserve a spot, please contact the library at (315) 369-6008 or email oldforge@midyork.org.
