Origami Workshop with Patrick Clare at the Old Forge Library

Origami Workshop with Patrick Clare

The Old Forge Library invites community members of all ages to discover the art of origami during a free hands on workshop with paper artist Patrick Clare!

Wednesday, July 29, at 11 am.

A native of Bellmore, New York, Patrick has spent many summers vacationing with his family in the Old Forge area. An accomplished origami artist, he has dedicated more than a decade to mastering the centuries-old art of paper folding. His intricate paper creations have been exhibited at the Cape Cod Library, and he regularly participates in the Global Origami Convention in New York City. He also founded an Origami Club for Kids at the North Bellmore Library, where he introduced young artists to the creativity and patience that origami inspires.

During the workshop, Patrick will share some of his original creations before guiding participants step by step in folding a variety of origami figures to take home. Beginners and experienced folders alike are welcome to enjoy this creative, hands-on experience.

The workshop is free, and all materials will be provided.

Participants of all ages are welcome!

Children under the age of 9 should be accompanied by an adult who can assist them.

The Old Forge Library is located at 220 Crosby Blvd. For more information, call 315-369-6008 or visit oldforgelibrary.org.
