The exhibit opens with a free public reception on Friday, August 7, from 5 to 7 pm, where visitors can meet the artist, explore the collection of several decades of Patti's artwork, and enjoy live music by Jim Tracy. Engelbrecht will also serve her signature honey lemonade along with light refreshments.

Known for her vibrant, whimsical folk-inspired paintings, Engelbrecht has long been a beloved creative presence in the Old Forge area. This special exhibition features works from her acclaimed Angel Series, along with original paintings created as illustrations for her book, Venus, Book 1: Coming Out of Your Shell and Loving Yourself More.

Through expressive artwork and heartfelt storytelling, Engelbrecht explores themes of hope, healing, self-discovery, and inspiration. Her colorful paintings invite viewers to pause, reflect, and find beauty, comfort, and joy in everyday life.

"I'm fascinated by angels because they're ethereal beings with a sense of calm, like everything's going to be okay," said Engelbrecht. "Angels are a running theme in most of my artwork. Even my landscapes have angels floating around in there somewhere."
